A WALLINGFORD dad completed a cycle ride for the pre-school he went to in 1973 – and where his two-year-old daughter now attends.
Steve Andrews, 41, completed the London to Brighton ride last month to raise £500 for Rainbow Pre-School.
Mr Andrews, pictured with daughter Evie, said: “It was a great little school and it still is.
“They run it on a charity basis anyways, and I felt just riding 54 miles is probably easier than dealing with a nine-to-five job of being a teacher and also having to go out on the weekend and fundraise.”
Chairman Joanna Carrington said the money would be used to update the outdoor play area.
She said: “Steve is a local man so it is really nice for a local person to think of us when raising money.”
