TICKETS have gone on sale for the 52nd annual Bicester and Finmere Show on the weekend of August 6 and 7.
There will be a large art and craft tent, food hall and bar, vintage tractors, a dog show, ferret racing, funfair, alpacas, and trade stands at the showground off the A4421 Buckingham Road, near Bicester.
The highlight of the weekend will be a horse show, which includes the Celebrity Jockeys’ High Jump — the record is 5ft 10in. Past winners include National Hunt stars Richard Dunwoody, Richard Johnson and Carl Llewellyn.
Teams of four riders can also sign up for the Oxfordshire Team jumping competition.
The horse show started in 1960 to raise cash for Sally Haynes, who was paralysed in a point-to-point fall at the age of 17 .
Over the past five decades, more than £580,000 has been raised for spinal research and charities that support people with spinal injuries.
This year’s event will support The Back-Up Trust and Spinal Research.
Tickets cost £5 for adults, under-16s free.
