PARENTS and teachers got a fright after youngsters performed a scary play they wrote themselves.

Year Six pupils at West Oxford Community Primary School created School for Ghouls – a show about students haunting a school.

The 14 children starting writing the script about eight weeks ago and had rehearsed for 10 days before the shows this week.

Pupil Daniel Greer, 11, front right, said: “It has been fun but it was very ambitious from the start because we got scaffolding and big stage lights.

“We also had UV lights.

“It has definitely been a good experience doing the whole thing. Everyone has put in so much effort.”
