I WOULD like to ask for the generosity of the Oxford Mail to highlight the actions of Mac’s Garage in Burford Road, Witney, for their roadside assistance one Friday evening.
Members of the Witney Lions Club were delivering our pig roast operation to Minster Lovell for their Village Day celebrations.
However, disaster struck with a burst tyre on the trailer along Burford Road.
This particular trailer, like many others does not carry a suitable jack, but does have a spare wheel.
As luck would have it, a young man was still working at the garage – even though it was well after 6pm.
On being made aware of our plight, he quickly assisted us with jacking up the trailer and fitting the spare wheel.
Many thanks to Mac’s Garage. Good customer service is not dead.
