SO, Nick Carter thinks Murdoch has been good for journalism, stating “every one of his papers is bang on the money” (The Issue, Tuesday’s Oxford Mail).

Considering the revelations that The Sunday Times appears to be in trouble over allegations that staff working for the paper accessed personal details about Gordon Brown, and The Sun published details about his son’s health, does he really think that it was only the News of the World that is a despicable rag?

The foul Rebekah Brooks has already intimated that there is worse to come with the News of the World, or was she speaking about the rest of Murdoch’s portfolio?

Murdoch cares nothing for his readers, all he wants is higher circulation figures. His aim is global media domination.

Sacrificing the News of the World is just another cynical move in that aim. How long will it be before we find journalists in other parts of his empire have been doing similar dirty deeds?

I can’t believe that it is only in the UK that his journalists have been up to this sort of reprehensible behaviour.
