IS primary school education poor in Oxfordshire?

Good education needs a good foundation, which is provided by a happy year spent in the foundation class. Some of our children in Oxfordshire are missing out on this very desirable good start.

In Wantage and Grove there are not enough foundation class places for the children due to enter school.

This means that some four-year-olds are being bussed to other village schools, and siblings and friends are separated.

This results in anxious parents, which results in children experiencing an anxious, unhappy introduction to school; which is not a good start.

The LEA needs to look at the present state of primary school admissions in Wantage and Grove before more houses are built.

More houses will only bring more children to the area. We need the primary school now.

Children have a right to a good education. We must see this happens.
