LET’S not get too excited about the Big Society cash being splashed about today.
While it’s great news that £250,000 will go to benefit youth centres across Oxfordshire, we must not lose sight of why this is necessary.
Oxfordshire County Council is cutting £119m from its budget over the next four years.
The £600,000 pot of “Big Society” cash – to be used as one-off payments – is a drop in the ocean.
