Sir – Do your readers feel that it was a coincidence that the two invited Conservative MPs were unable to attend the public meeting Keep Our NHS Service held on June 16 at Oxford Town Hall?
Tony Baldry, MP for Banbury, billed as a speaker, cancelled at very short notice, and Nicola Blackwood, MP for Oxford West and Abingdon, was also unable to attend, although she had chosen the date out of a choice of 12.
It would have been interesting to hear their explanation of the Government’s NHS plans.
Mary Stableford, Oxford
