Charity fundraisers the Thong Rangers raised £3,500 for Oxford toddler Charlotte Nott, who had her limbs amputated after contracting meningitis.
The all-male charity group donned their thongs last month to complete a 20-mile trek pushing concrete blocks in wheelbarrows to help the Horspath three-year-old.
Her family are raising cash for the youngster’s future. Charlotte had her limbs amputated below the joints to stop the disease spreading in December.
Fundraiser Clifford Oakes this week handed over a cheque to Charlotte’s parents, Alex Nott and Jenny Daniels.
Mr Oakes said: “Charlotte’s parents were touched that so many people went to so much trouble.”
