I WITNESSED three near-accidents involving cyclists going over pedestrian crossings recently.

In the first incident, people were crossing but the cyclists ignored the red light and went through, nearly hitting people.

The cyclist looked like he was in training for the Tour de France and went very fast.

The second was a man in his 30s who should have known better. He nearly hit a mother and her young family.

The third was a student who might have been bright but had no common sense. He nearly hit someone as well.

If you are a cyclist and have an accident you might not reach your destination.
