SCHOOLTEACHER Jessica Murrills, in the first picture, found a million pounds in her shopping bag, but was the gorilla (alias fellow teacher Roger Pope) after her or the loot? The question was to be answered when pupils and staff at John Mason School staged the play, Chain Reaction, to mark the school’s 21st anniversary in 1981.
Natalie Darroch went on a world cruise when she retired as a teacher at Dunmore Junior School in 1968 and sent a postcard from Hawaii to her former pupils. But it took 12 years and two weeks to arrive. The Chown quads – Kristina, Tristan, Mathew and Alexander, aged eight – are seen in the second picture with the card which was posted four years before they were born.
