An 18-year-old woman died last night after a car was involved in a collision in Adderbury, near Banbury.
A spokesman for Oxfordshire Fire Service said the crash happened shortly after 11pm on the B4100 Aynho Road.
Fire crews from Banbury and Deddington attended the incident and found one car in the road and one in a ditch.
The car in the ditch was severely damaged and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 28-year-old driver of the other vehicle was treated at the scene by ambulance staff. The extent of his injuries are not yet known, but are not thought to be life threatening.
Leo Tarring, a spokesman for Thames Valley Police, confirmed that one driver died.
