A SALON boss says he is at the end of his tether after a spate of “mindless” vandalism attacks.

Martin Parker said his unisex Bicester salon has been spat at, the hanging baskets uprooted and abuse hurled at his customers by yobs as young as 12.

Last night the 44-year-old called on witnesses to the vandalism over the past few weeks to call police.

In the latest incident on Monday, youths damaged his window boxes.

Mr Parker said his business, Parker’s Hair Salon, in Dean’s Court, has been plagued by anti-social behaviour since it was launched in 1999.

He said: “These kids have also shouted abuse through the door towards me and my customers. They are only aged about 12 to 13 but their language is disgusting ... their behaviour is doing real damage to my business.”

Five years ago the Oxford Mail reported how the business had suffered smashed windows, break-ins, damaged signs and people spitting on the windows.

Mr Parker said despite police action his property is still hit. “There is only so much anybody can take.”

Thames Valley Police is investigating Monday’s vandalism. A spokesman said: “We urge witnesses to call us on 08458 505 505.”
