ON behalf of the governing body and Save Culham School group, I wish to thank the Oxford Mail for its interest in Culham Parochial CofE Primary School’s fight against closure, which had a successful outcome on May 24. It is wonderful to have received such support from our local paper.
I also wish to take this opportunity to thank Andrew Churchill-Stone (chair of governors), Kit Thomas (c hair of SCS), Matt Attree (current acting- and-soon-to-be headteacher), the school staff, Lorraine Lindsay-Gale (county councillor), the diocese, and all of the community members who stepped up to the challenge.
They have worked hard and now reap the benefits.
Finally, the biggest thanks of all go to Oxfordshire County Council Cabinet members for listening to our pleas and giving us the chance to make this school a success once more.
We have a number of fundraising events ahead of us now, and all are welcome.
See culhamvillageschool.co.uk for details.
