A CITY nightclub is offering women a free taxi home following the recent attacks.

Five women have been assaulted in the past 10 days in Oxford and police believe the same man could be responsible.

Now managers at No.9 nightclub, in High Street, are supplying three taxis a night to make sure female customers get home safely.

Club boss Steve Fontaine, 44, above, said the service will run every night the club is open until the attacker is caught.

He said: “A lot of women use our club, and the string of sex attacks has prompted us to take action. We thought offering a free taxi at 1am, 2am and 3am was the least we could do.”

Mr Fontaine said the service would be open to women living in Oxford who had been at the club.
