COLLEGE Students in Bicester are urging people to help them drive to victory this summer.
About 30 pupils on the National Diploma in Motorsports course at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College are working on a project to build and race a car, but have run out of cash.
Bicester student Ellie Williams, 18, said: “We have raised a lot of the money ourselves, doing car washes and leg waxes.”
The Grand Prix Midget is a one-seater racing buggy that can be raced around short circuit oval tracks such as Oxford Stadium.
Students raised £500 but need £4,500 building and £2,500 annual running costs.
Miss Williams said: “We have already started building the car, but we are struggling a bit now.”
Sponsors would have their logo on the car. Call 01869 550550 or email ewilliams@students09.ocvc.ac.uk
