OXON: House prices in the county have risen for the third month in a row.

Latest figures for April from the Government’s Land Registry show the average price of an Oxfordshire property now stands at £238,740, a 0.9 per cent increase on the previous month. The jump caused the annual rate of house price inflation between March and April to double to 1.2 per cent.

Nationally, the average figure is £163,083 – a rise of 0.8 per cent on the month, although the annual rate of inflation is down 1.3 per cent.
