Sir – A new school could emerge under the Haberdasher’s Aske’s ‘brand’ in South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse.
Across Abingdon, Didcot and Wantage, examining the county council’s figures for the number of places available in the six secondaries, and anticipated to be required up until 2015-16, we see there are this year 1,680 spare places, falling to 1,120 by 2016.
These figures are difficult to predict accurately, but there would appear to be no pressing need for a new school.
