A PUB’S fundraising efforts have netted almost £500 towards a young boy’s dream of being able to run.
Four-year-old Fazer Mossman has cerebral palsy and gets regular treatment at the Footsteps charity in Warborough.
As a treat, he and his father Colin often eat at the Bell in Crowmarsh, where bar staff took part in a tug of war against the RAF and washed cars in bikinis over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Fazer needs £50,000 to have pioneering surgery in America to help him walk and run.
Mr Mossman, of Chigwell, Essex, said: “It went very well and the pub have been extremely helpful.
“We found out about Footsteps when someone mentioned it in a waiting room at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Fazer was told he would never walk or crawl, but the first time he went to Footsteps he was walking with sticks.”
Pub manager Paul Chance said: “We’ve raised about £500 and had a great response from everyone, especially the guys from the RAF.”
