A SCHOOL choir is buzzing with excitement after a visit from a member of legendary soul group The Drifters.
Pupils from Appleton Primary School are to perform alongside the American vocal group at the New Theatre in Oxford.
And singer Michael Williams popped over to hear them sing on Wednesday ahead of the performance in July.
The choir will be singing the song Hero by M People alongside the four-piece band.
Music teacher Lizzie Soden, pictured with the choir said: “They are very excited about doing a proper gig on stage with professional musicians.
“The feeling in the school is one of sheer panic and excitement.”
Erin Parkinson, 10, said: “I am quite nervous but it should be fun.”
