Alex Salvesen, 26, of St Mary’s Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting six bottles of Bailey’s valued at £115.14 from Sainsbury’s in Oxford on March 13; shoplifting four bottles of Jack Daniel’s valued at £85.54 from Co-op in Oxford on March 19; shoplifting five bottles of Moet and Chandon valued at £149.95 from Waitrose in Abingdon on March 9; shoplifting four bottles of Jim Beam valued at £100 from Co-op in Cowley on March 9; shoplifting six bottles of Champagne valued at £205.94 from Waitrose in Abingdon on March 3; shoplifting two bottles of cider and one bottle of wine from Co-op in Abingdon on March 1; shoplifting two bottles of Champagne valued at £68.98 from Waitrose in Abingdon on March 1; shoplifting six bottles of Bacardi valued at £128 from Co-op in Botley on March 1; shoplifting two bottles of Bacardi valued at £43 from Co-op in Botley on February 28; and commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Original offence of shoplifting resentenced. Jailed for 12 weeks.

Matthew Farrington, 38, of Brunstock Beck, Didcot, admitted failing to provide a roadside breath test on February 6 in Oxford. Fined £200, £85 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge. Banned from driving for 18 months.

Pavel Harna, 27, of Fairway Gardens, Ilford, Essex, admitted the theft of a BlackBerry mobile phone, an Apple iPhone 4 and an Apple iPhone 3GS in Oxford on February 26. Jailed for 16 weeks because of “repeated targeting and distraction of innocent members of the public” and “not learning from previous sentence”.

Michael Williams, 19, of no fixed address, admitted criminal damage to a window at Boots in Faringdon on February 26 and failing to surrender to court bail on March 16. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £200 compensation and £85 costs.

Paul Allen, 31, of Longfellow Drive, Abingdon, admitted criminal damage to a door and window in Oxford on March 6. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £75 compensation and £50 costs.

Shaun Collins, 47, of Clark’s Row, Oxford, admitted shoplifting three joints of roast beef and two whole legs of lamb valued at £77.01 from Sainsbury’s in Oxford on March 20. Jailed for eight weeks “because of the defendant’s previous record and offence committed while on licence”.

Ross Cantwell, 24, of no fixed address, admitted failing to comply with a community order by failing to report for supervision on August 31 and September 27. Original offence of causing actual bodily harm resentenced. Fined £80 and a £15 victims’ surcharge and detained in court for the day.

Matthew Hutchinson, 33, of Crosslands Drive, Abingdon, convicted of actual bodily harm in Abingdon on August 29. Given a four-month curfew and told to pay £350 costs and £150 compensation.

David Robson, of High Street, Sutton Courtenay, pleaded guilty to driving in Tyrells Way, Sutton Courtenay, on January 31 with a blood alcohol level of 170 milligrammes per 100 mililitres, above the legal limit of 80 milligrammes. He was fined £330, ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 prosecution costs and disqualified from driving for 20 months.

Kieran Johnson, 19, of Abingdon Road, Standlake, admitted using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour in Oxford on March 6. Fined £80, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Georgia Milton, 40, of Croft Road, Marston, admitted drink driving in Old Road, Oxford, on March 5. Namely having 119 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes. Fined £500, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for two years.

Joseph Thomas, 21, of Cherwell Close, Abingdon, admitted failing to comply with a community order by failing to attend unpaid work on February 17. Given an additional 10 hours’ unpaid work plus £50 costs.

Steven Blake, 24, of Dirac Place, Didcot, admitted using a television without a licence on September 15. Fined £35, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £30 costs.

Claire Butler, 44, of Gainsborough Green, Abingdon, admitted using a television without a licence between April 12 and May 13, 2010. Fined £40, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £30 costs.
