Oxford United have today unveiled the signing of Deane Smalley from Oldham Athletic.
The striker, 22, has signed on a two-year deal, with an option for a third season. There is a compensation fee that has been paiod to the Latics but that has not been disclosed.
He scored 12 goals in 29 appearances while on loan with Chesterfield last season.
He said: "There were some clubs interested in me, but as soon as I came here Oxford United stood out for me with their ambition and fantastic fanbase.
"Hopefully I can get Oxford United promoted to League One next season."
