Thousands of people suffer migraines every year. It’s a knockout blow which effectively ends the day for sufferers.
The bouts of sickness can last for hours.
And for Pam Mason it has blighted her life for 30 years.
Today we report how NHS Oxfordshire will not fund a £3,000 operation which could cure the migraines once and for all.
They say evidence of its effectiveness is limited, although the same treatment is offered in other European countries. And Pam takes a host of drugs to try to combat the pain, which over the course of many years costs a lot more.
The figures just don’t add up.
Something so common, seems unbeatable, and that is a crying shame.
Hopefully, Pam’s campaign will help more investment into finding a cure into something that is so common, and yet so unbeatable.
