Felipe Barcelos has been hitting the headlines recently after scoring seven goals in 12 first team games for Oxford City.
The 19-year-old from Hollow Way, Cowley, came to Oxford from Brazil five years ago having never played in an 11-a-side match. He has blossomed since signing up for a two-year football apprenticeship while working his way through the youth and reserve teams.
Now he has had trials with Championship club Reading and Premier League side Fulham, while gaining a BTEC coaching diploma.
He said: “The good thing about the course is that if I don’t make a career out of football, it gives you a second option.
“I want to qualify as high as I can and will be staying another year to do that.”
