Sir – Today, the Oxford Castle, developed through a partnership between Oxfordshire County Council, the Oxford Preservation Trust and a development company, is celebrating becoming a successful tourist destination and stylish night spot.
I look forward to the day the Old Gaol, developed by a company chosen by the district council in preference to the same Oxford developers, will be hailed as equally successful. I have a feeling it will take a bit longer than five years!
