Police today appealed for witnesses following a fight in Bicester in which three young women were injured.

The incident happened in the road leading from Queens Avenue to Bicester Leisure Centre, between 6.10pm and 6.45pm yesterday.

A fight broke out between two groups of teenage women.

Three 18-year-old women were assaulted, with two suffering injuries amounting to actual bodily harm. One suffered bruising and swelling to her face and the other a suspected fractured finger and facial swelling.

PC Tim Robinson, from Bicester police station, said: “This incident happened on a busy stretch of road leading to the leisure centre, so it is likely that people saw what was happening and may have information that can help us progress our investigation.”

He said the offenders were all white, in their mid to late teens and they were all wearing grey and black hooded tops. One had pink stripes along the sleeves and another wore a black ski style hat and had a BMX bike.
