A MAN has spoken of his relief and desire to get on with his life after being cleared of three charges of rape.
Kenneth Pinkstone, who denied the charges, was acquitted by jurors at Oxford Crown Court yesterday, following a week-long trial.
The 23-year-old, of Kynaston Road, Didcot, was accused of three attacks on a 15-year-old girl in January last year.
The teenager cannot be named for legal reasons.
Speaking after being acquitted, Mr Pinkstone said he was pleased with the verdicts and expressed his intent to move on in life.
He said: “I’m very relieved. I didn’t do it.”
In a statement given through his barrister, Mark Trafford, Mr Pinkstone added: “I’m relieved by the verdicts of the jury who have come to the proper and commonsensical verdict.
“In light of the not guilty verdicts I do not wish to comment any further on the case, except to say that I want to get on with my life – as I have been doing.”
