BUSINESSES in Bicester are being urged to join a networking event and help raise cash.

Organisers are hoping to attract more than 100 firms to the event at Trinity Restaurant, Chapel Street, on Wednesday, May 18.

The idea is to meet other business people and give each other’s companies a boost.

It has been organised by business networking groups and Bicester Chamber of Commerce.

Ben Jackson, chairman of the chamber of commerce and executive member of the Wednesday Business Club, said: “This is a great opportunity. If you are a retailer, a manufacturer or a service supplier, in fact no matter what line of business you are in, come and meet prospective customers.”

Gail Church who runs the town’s Business Biscotti group, along with Elke Bretz, added: “The idea was floated by the Bicester Business Group on Facebook and we all thought it was too good an opportunity not to go for it.

“It is taking place on the day we would hold our normal meeting and our members are really excited.”

People can just turn up on the day between 9.30am and 11.30am and pay £1 to take part.

Proceeds will be donated to Bicester Rotary Club.

There will also be a business card prize draw.
