HOW perspicacious of the Oxford Mail, when reporting the “Nevermind the Royal Wedding party” in East Oxford, to put the term ‘indifferent’ in inverted commas.
I personally do not believe that the presence, or absence, of the British monarchy is of transcendental planetary importance, but the very existence of the event self-evidently paradoxically indicates that apathy was the very last sentiment prevailing among those participating.
