The protests against cuts to public services brought the city back to earth with a bump.
On Friday, people took to the streets in celebration. But yesterday, it was fear and concern that had people marching on the city centre.
It is right that Oxfordshire County Council’s scrutiny committees should re-examine the latest painful cuts. It may not change the outcome but it will ensure the decisions that will impact so many lives are debated fully.
