SIX-YEAR-OLD Gracie Cook, along with hundreds of families from Wheatley, enjoyed a special St George’s Day bash – a week after England’s patron saint’s day.
The fun day, organised by church charity Fusion, is in its sixth year and is going from strength to strength.
This year, nearly 1,000 residents gathered at the recreation ground in Church Road to enjoy berbecues, a bouncy castles, face-painting, a climbing wall and children’s games.
Organiser Gordon Ewbank said: “There were lots of happy children, lots of happy families and the weather was brilliant.
“It is an opportunity to make new friendships and renew old ones.”
