We are sorry Ann Black is concerned about our Rose Hill service which becomes the 3A from May 8 (Oxford Mail letters, April 27).
It’s not a change that we’ve made lightly but she will still be able to get from the Iffley Road area to the railway station.
Passengers going to and from the station will be able to change buses conveniently and without extra cost.
Passengers should ask the driver for a ‘transfer ticket’, a timed ticket, when they join the bus and pay cash for their journey.
Regular users are advised to switch to a Key Zone product which allows them to travel on any combination of buses at no extra cost.
If passengers are going to the station they should change at the Speedwell Street stop where the City4 and City5 also call.
There is a shelter and real-time information available and passengers should not have to wait too long.
In the other direction they should catch a City4 or City5 and make a similar change at the High Street stop to the City3A.
We realise that’s not as convenient as a through bus but we have to make prudent decisions to ensure we provide a reliable service to the majority of our Rose Hill and Iffley Road passengers during the 40 weeks of roadworks.
