A MAN jailed for manslaughter after he accidentally pushed a partygoer down a flight of stairs has had his sentence slashed by top judges.
Anthony Kynaston Bebbington, of Longelandes Way, was originally jailed for three-and-a-half years at Oxford Crown Court in December last year after he was convicted of killing Paul Howkins.
Lord Justice Moore-Bick, who substituted a two-year sentence in London’s Appeal Court, said Mr Howkins was the victim of a tragic accident.
Bebbington, 25, and a group of friends – including Mr Howkins, 25 – were at a party in a Banbury flat.
