I would like to warn readers who may be travelling overseas this Easter not to let their bags out of their sight.
That’s obvious, you may think, but on a recent flight, there was no overhead locker for the seats allocated to my daughter. The cabin crew said she must instead put her bag in the crew’s own locker, which she did. Unfortunately, the locker was out of her sight during the flight and when her bag was returned to her on landing, her money was missing.
Since it is not practical or sensible to put money and important documents in the seat pocket and few clothes have pockets large enough for such things, passengers should be warned and consider a luggage lock for carry on luggage just in case.
