Police are appealing for information after thieves broke into a van in Kidlington and stole a bag containing two starter pistols.

Thieves drilled their way through the lock of the Citroen van in High Street sometime between 9.15pm on Tuesday, April 12, and 7.15am on Wednesday, April 13.

The bag containing the starter pistols was stolen from inside the vehicle. The bag was later recovered in a nearby Baptist church.

PC Yvonne Harland said: “I would like to speak to anyone who was in the High Street area that night, who may have seen or heard anything suspicious.

“I would urge them to come forward and speak to me as soon as possible.”
