Sir – In his letter of April 7, councillor James Macnamara stated that Cherwell planning applications were advertised in our local newspapers.
He seems unaware that they are no longer published in my local newspaper.
In Kidlington, my local newspaper is The Oxford Times, but Cherwell District Council ceased advertising planning applications sometime before Christmas.
All the other Oxfordshire planning authorities publish weekly lists in The Oxford Times.
I am aware that weekly lists are published online, and I am at my computer every day, but I never remember to take a look. Why have they stopped?
