OXON: Two men convicted of people trafficking offences will not be sentenced until the judge who heard their case returns to work.
Anastassios Papas, 42, formerly of Iffley Road, Oxford, was convicted of trafficking women for sexual exploitation, conspiracy to traffic women for sexual exploitation, controlling prostitution for gain, and converting £67,075 of criminal property.
He will be sentenced alongside Graham Cochrane, 49, of Corncrake Way, Bicester, who was convicted of conspiracy to traffic women and trafficking women into the UK for sexual exploitation.
Their case was mentioned at Oxford Crown Court yesterday. Judge Gordon Risius, who heard the original case, was taken ill earlier this year.
