TWO men were injured as they fell from stairs at an Oxford nightclub.

One of the revellers suffered a broken leg in the incident at Camera in St Ebbe’s Street on Friday night.

Michael O’Shea, who was queueing to enter the venue, said the club closed early at about 11.30pm following the injuries.

The 27-year-old from East Oxford said: “The bouncers said two blokes had been injured pretty badly.”

He added: “There was an ambulance there and it looked pretty serious. Everyone in there had to leave and they closed the place.”

Ambulance service spokesman Ngozi Fakeye said said: “We attended to two males at the nightclub who had fallen down the stairs. One had a fractured leg.”

She could not confirm the extent of the second man’s injuries.

“Both were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital,” she added.
