WARM sunshine made life tough as runners from Oxfordshire tackled the London Marathon.
Dozens of entrants from the county joined more than 35,000 others tackling the 26-mile course.
For a round-up of how they got on, see tomorrow's Oxford Mail.
Among those to have finished was 25-year-old Luke Hearn from Wallingford who was running in his second marathon.
He said: βIt was blooming hot. Without doubt it was at 50 per cent harder than last time.β
Mr Hearn, who ran alongside his mother Vanessa in aid of Arthritis Research UK, finished in about five hours and 15 minutes.
It is the 31st year the event has been held.
