BED-BLOCKING is not an easy problem to solve but someone needs to grasp the nettle.
It is pointless each month to see a new set of figures on the problem pop up, with health and social services bosses expressing regret and not much changing.
These are not figures – they are real people, the majority of whom want to go home.
There are problems all along the chain that are stopping the system working properly but it requires radical action.
