I FEEL I must comment on John Lillis’ letter about the high standards at the John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford Mail, April 12).
I recently also had cause to be admitted to the cardiac unit at the JRH for a procedure. I endorse everything he said about the professionalism, courtesy and friendliness of all the staff in the unit, from the surgeons down to the staff with the tea trolleys.
I was accommodated in an ensuite room with TV and telephone. the room was very clean and the food was excellent.
I find it an insult to all the dedicated staff there that this penny-pinching Government has plans to sabotage and dismantle the NHS, which is one of the last remaining bastions of our country.
Shame on Mr Cameron, Mr Clegg and their cronies.
