THERE were plans to build new schools in Britain, which have been scrapped.
There were also plans for badly-needed repairs to some of our existing schools, which have been scrapped. And yet David Cameron goes to Pakistan and pledges £650m to pay for 90,000 new teachers and to get four million children into school.
Why are we doing this, I ask myself, when Pakistan is reported to be spending a massive amount on planes and submarines. In fact it is spending £1.7bn on defence.
Mr Cameron talks about impoverished Pakistan, but if he keeps giving money away, it will soon be impoverished Britain. They say charity always starts at home, but it seems that’s been changed by this coalition Government. And it had the cheek to go on about Gordon Brown bailing out our banks.
Mr Cameron, and Mr Clegg, we in Britain can’t afford you.
