Police were called to Slade Road in Stokenchurch after a car crashed into another vehicle parked in a driveway.
A white BMW left the road at about 6pm on Monday and crashed through a fence and hedge and into a parked Honda CR-V, pushing the vehicle into a garage.
The driver got out of the car but was restrained at the scene by residents until officers arrived, after which a man was arrested and a BB gun was recovered.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm as well as multiple driving offences, including dangerous driving, aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent, driving while under the influence of alcohol and driving without a licence.
The man has been released on bail until May 27 for further enquiries to take place.
