SHOPPERS in Oxford may not have expected to watch a masterclass in keepy-uppy, Cruyff turns and dribbling tricks when they headed to the supermarket.

But Tesco’s Cowley supermarket was trying out new in-store busking spots for youngsters collecting Schools and Clubs vouchers, and Florence Park Boys FC were the first club to take up the offer.

The young footballers, including Naseer El Hosney, 10, pictured, demonstrated their skills in the store’s foyer and car park, asking shoppers to donate unwanted vouchers to help them buy new equipment for the club.

Club secretary Janet Loveridge said: “We collected nearly 600 vouchers in an hour, so it was definitely worthwhile.

“Shoppers were quite surprised. They asked us what we were doing, but when we told them, lots of them gave us their vouchers.

“All the boys were really excited.”

The vouchers, which have been given out by the supermarket chain for 20 years, can be used for training equipment and kit.
