Police today appealed for further witnesses who may have seen an incident in Banbury in which a man sustained an injury to his head.
The incident happened between 10.50pm and 11.15pm on Friday as a group of people got involved in public disorder around the areas of St John's Road, Old Parr Road and Oxford Road.
PC Lucy McDonagh said: "We appreciate those members of the public who contacted the police immediately to report the incident, as a result seven people were arrested but were later released on bail.
"As enquiries are still ongoing and I am actively pursuing all lines of investigation, I would ask anyone who can provide further information to contact us via 0845 8 505 505."
