THE county council, having found some money to spend in the current financial year, has done a marvellous job in totally resurfacing Rippington Drive, Fairfax Avenue and part of Mortimer Drive. I guess, after that, the money then just ran out.
However, the job was completed, along with road markings, two days ahead of schedule. Well done to all those responsible.
Wouldn’t it be good if the county could find more money to do the pavements and road surface in Raymund Road? And what better time to do it than during the six weeks of the summer holidays when the schools are closed?
Perhaps I wish for too much but there is no harm in trying.
