A MAN died after being struck by a train on tracks just outside Bicester.

British Transport Police officers were called to the line close to Bicester North railway station just before 9am today.

A BTP spokesman said: ”BTP and Thames Valley Police officers attended the incident, which was reported to police at 8.51am and is currently being treated as unexplained.

“Paramedics from the South Central Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The incident is currently ongoing, and officers are working to establish the man’s identity.

“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”

The train involved was as the 07:36 service from Marylebone to Bicester North.
