ON Friday, March 25, my husband and I took two sofas to Help The Heroes charity shop, which is in Drayton Road, in Abingdon.
The man took a look at them and said: “Wrong colour – people like colours”.
They were brown and in perfectly good condition.
We then went to the precinct in Abingdon, YMCA shop and the person there said: “Sorry, zip broken” (on a cushion!).
So we proceeded to the Drayton Road dump, where, in future, all our furniture will go.
So don’t anyone tell me to recycle – I did try.
