Childhood memories were what clinched it for Lindsay Smith when he was deciding where to buy a new home.

Mr Smith opted for a three-bedroom house on a new development in Southam, near Banbury, where he had spent part of his childhood.

He said: “I had spent many summers there as a small boy, so was familiar with the area.

“It provides you with everything you need from a small town which is perfect for what I need.”

Mr Smith, who sold his house in Leamington Spa, added: “The development has a lovely layout with the peaceful environment that I was keen to have.

“I had looked at a number of new-build homes but after visiting the show home at Church View, I thought the overall finish and attention to detail was far superior.

“I watched the home being built from the foundations, right through to moving in. The whole experience was genuinely the best home-buying experience I have had and I was kept informed all the way through.

“I have lived in a number of large homes over the years, so moving to a smaller home was a bit of a shock but my new home provides me with everything I need.

“The layout and design is very good and there are plenty of cupboards and wardrobe space. It was definitely the right home, at the right price, at the right time.”

Church View includes a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes in Wattons Lane.

Some properties include carpets, light fittings and turf in the back gardens. There is also a garage and/or allocated parking.

Prices at Church View start from £184,995 for a two-bedroom house, from £199,995 for a three-bedroom and from £249,995 to £319,995 for a four-bedroom semi-detached.

The show home is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm.
