Sir – We have just had a letter from the council through the door asking us to move vehicles in preparation for deep cleaning our street. Surely this service could be cut?
I’m sure the council will have an excuse for its continuation and why the money cannot be used for maintaining library services, but somehow I can’t see people demonstrating about our streets being a little grubbier . . .
